Three ways my agents and I are preparing to weather the coming recession.
What’s your recession strategy? My agents and I are preparing for this new market every day, and today I’ll share how. There are three main ways we’re equipping our teams for the changing market:
1. We’re getting real. I talk to a lot of agents, and I’ve heard them say that we’re just normalizing or softening a bit. That may be the case—none of us know for sure, but we’re preparing for the worst. If it doesn’t come to pass, we’ll be okay anyway.
2. We’re tracking our spending. We’re planning our survival through expense management. It’s easy to let your financials bloat during a good market, so now my agents and I are constantly asking, “What can I do without?” We’re doing this in both our businesses and our personal lives.
3. We’re looking at return on investment. When I spend a dollar, what do I get back? We’re holding our money accountable and expecting it to give us a return. This goes for everything from lead generation to staffing.
