The most overlooked award in the real estate industry is profit.
Are people focusing on the right thing when it comes to real estate? Recently, we’ve seen the awards season for the real estate industry celebrate agents and teams based on their production over the last 12 months. These accomplishments, such as income, number of houses sold, and volume of sales are important and should be celebrated.
However, I believe that the most crucial metric is profit, and it’s being overlooked. You can’t take your family on vacation with the number of houses you sell or retire based on your sales volume—you need profit. How would your team rank if awards were based on profit?
“More agents need to remember the importance of profit.”
To address this issue, I partnered with MAPS coach Ahren Booher to create a powerful and strategic goal-setting session that took place a few weeks ago. We gathered about 40 team leaders from across the United States to discuss profitability. During the session, we explored best practices for profit and loss, future-casting business strategies, key metrics to track, and ways to cut expenses effectively.
If you are interested in learning from this session, I can provide you with a copy of the recording. For any questions about the session or anything else that’s related, don’t hesitate to call or email me, I’m always happy to hear from you.
