How you can leverage partnerships to gain control of your business.
What is the number one challenge of real estate teams in today’s market? Today I’ll discuss what I think it is. I just got back from a conference, and over about a three-day period I had a chance to talk to somewhere between 40 and 50 rainmakers of teams and hear about what’s going well in their business and where they’re kind of seeing some challenges.
When I summarized all of the thoughts from these rainmakers, it came down to one word: leverage. It looks different in every team that I talked to. For example, some teams struggle recruiting agents. Others struggle taking people through the career visioning process. Some of them are struggling with finding admins. Some of the teams that I talked to are finding those people, but they don’t have leverage around how to properly train them and get a brand new agent up to speed.
Some of them have experienced agents but don’t have the leverage around them to coach them on an ongoing basis. There are 38 things that a real estate agent has to do. Growing a team adds more responsibilities. At the end of the day, there’s just not enough time without the proper leverage around you.
“Leverage is everything in real estate.”
Recently, I was invited to a Mastermind session with Gary Keller, and Gary said something that was really profound to me. He said, “In all of my businesses, I have partnerships.”
After all, a partner is just leverage, right? That person’s bringing a certain set of skills and responsibilities to the table, which is bringing you leverage. If Gary Keller, one of the best—if not the best—entrepreneurs out there, feels like he has to have leverage and partnerships in every business, could we all learn something from that?
I’d like to take a minute and invite you to an informational session that we’re having. It will be about what Powered by Impact does, and how you can add leverage to your business. On September 15th at 11 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, we’ll have a 60-minute conversation around leverage, what it is, how you can partner with it, and what are the tools that you get through partnership.
If you’re one of those rainmakers out there that are struggling and feel like this, I guarantee you it’ll be worth it. If you have any questions, please call or email me. I am always willing to help.
