Here’s how finding empire builders can help you grow exponentially.
If you’re looking at building a real estate team, there’s nothing more important than attracting talent to your organization. On May 17, I’m teaching a class called “Career Visioning” that will teach you all about how to identify and retain talent inside your organization.
There was a session that really stood out to me when I was recently preparing for the class. It talked about empire builders. In case you’re not familiar with the term already, an “empire builder” is someone you can put inside your organization that’s going to lead other leaders and grow your team.
How do you identify an empire builder? In our organization, I look for three main characteristics:
“Empire builders lead leaders.”
1. They are constantly looking for ways to improve. They walk around with the mindset that everything can always be better.
2. They execute. They don’t talk a lot about what they’re going to do. Rather, they execute their plan and make it happen.
3. They lean into leverage. Empire builders lean into others around them. It doesn’t all have to fall on them to get things done because they are good at collaboration.
