Three things solo agents expect to gain when joining a real estate team.

Why do solo agents decide to join a team? It’s a question I have wrestled with, and I was able to narrow down the answer into three things that those agents want:

  1. Leads. As the team rainmaker, you must have very clear answers to these questions for your agents: How many leads will you be getting each month? How many closings can you expect if you convert leads at a high level? How many closings can you expect each  year from the leads provided by a team? What sources will you have? By being transparent with your value proposition around leads, you can avoid misconceptions or bad expectations.
  2. Leverage. At the end of the day, they’re taking a different commission split by being on your team, so they’ll want to know the leverage you can provide them. This can range from transaction coordination, branding, and marketing to client services and database management.
  3. Opportunities. This can look different for different people. For some, it may be opportunities in terms of leads, career or personal growth, business, etc. They want to know that they can live their life by design in your world. Creating that picture of opportunity is critical for them to be able to envision their life within your organization.

“Agents want to know that they can live their life by design in your team.”
